    Overview

    The Direct Equity Fund focuses on providing equity and quasi-equity financing to businesses engaged in intra-Africa trade, industrialization strategies as well as value-added export development on the Continent.

    The Fund achieved its first close of $270 million in 2022.

    Investment targets Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs); Emerging Corporates and Mature Businesses

  • Strategic Initiatives Fund

    Overview

    The Strategic Initiatives Fund is a proprietary fund established by Afreximbank to implement landmark and high impact greenfield investments in sectors critical to the growth of intra-African trade and value-added export development across the African Continent.

    The fund focuses on developing greenfield pre-revenue projects that are strategically critical to Afreximbank – from conception to completion – by aligning innovative concepts with adequate capital and expertise to deliver transformative solutions.

    The Fund achieved its first close of $250 million in 2022.

  • Africa Credit Opportunities Fund

    Overview

    Africa Credit Opportunities Fund is a JV Partnership with Gateway Partners Limited. The fund focuses on investing in credit opportunities which align with FEDA’s mandate and complement Afreximbank’s business.

    The fund offers tailored senior debt-like solutions to support intra-African trade and growth in Africa.

    The Fund achieved its first close of $125 million in 2022.

  • Venture Fund

    Overview

    The Venture Fund provide equity, quasi-equity and venture debt financing to high-impact Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs) across Africa.

    The Fund targets SMEs within three sub-segments including: (i) generalist, (ii) creative industry, and (iii) innovation, science and technology. This strategy is designed to finance “bankable” deals which will accelerate Intra-African trade and export development.

    The Fund achieved its first close of $25 million in 2022.
